The air was electric at the Javits Center this weekend as Head of Marvel Television and Animation Brad Winderbaum took the stage to deliver a stunning suite of updates on the future of the MCU on Disney+. From the long-awaited return of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil to the shocking comeback of a classic villain, Marvel’s New York Comic Con 2025 panel was a non-stop firehose of reveals that has the fandom buzzing.

Here’s a complete breakdown of everything Marvel unveiled.

Wonder Man Soars with a January 2026 Release Date

Kicking off the panel with some Hollywood flair, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Sir Ben Kingsley presented the first official trailer for Wonder Man. The series, helmed by director Destin Daniel Cretton, follows struggling actor Simon Williams (Abdul-Mateen II) as he desperately tries to land the lead role in a big-screen reboot of the classic superhero film… Wonder Man.

The meta and stylish trailer sets a tone unlike anything we’ve seen in the MCU, blending the glamour of Tinseltown with superhero origins. Mark your calendars: the 8-episode series officially premieres on January 27, 2026.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Footage Teases a Lost Matt Murdock

Charlie Cox and Kristen Ritter (Jessica Jones) sent the crowd into a frenzy with the first look at Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. The footage opened on a peaceful, domestic scene between Matt Murdock and Karen Page, which is violently shattered by an explosive event that overwhelms Matt’s senses.

The trailer then took a mysterious turn, showing missing person posters for Matt Murdock plastered across New York City. A lost and disoriented Matt wanders the streets until he is found by his former Defender teammate, Jessica Jones, who appears to be his only lifeline. We also saw:

  • Wilson Fisk, now Mayor of New York, brutally pummeling a man in a boxing ring.
  • A brief, emotional glimpse of Foggy Nelson, who died in Season 1.
  • Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye calmly eating a sundae, hinting at his looming threat.
  • Daredevil in action, grinning as he tasers a group of criminals.

VisionQuest Concludes the WandaVision Trilogy with a Stunning Villain Return

In what was perhaps the panel’s biggest shocker, Paul Bettany joined Brad Winderbaum to present early footage from VisionQuest. Winderbaum confirmed the series is the conclusion of a trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along.

The footage followed White Vision as he struggles with possessing the memories of the original Vision but lacking any emotional connection to them. In his quest for understanding, he enters a mansion where he is greeted by human incarnations of Tony Stark’s former AI assistants: Jarvis (James D’Arcy), Friday, and Edith.

But the reveals didn’t stop there. The footage culminated with the return of Ultron, now in a human body and once again played by a bearded James Spader. And in an even more stunning twist, Ultron reveals to Vision the son he never knew he had: Tommy Maximoff (Ruaridh Mollica), aka Speed from the comics. VisionQuest is set to launch on Disney+ in 2026.

Animation Updates: X-Men ’97 Returns and Spider-Man Meets Venom

For animation fans, the news was just as exciting. Brad Winderbaum confirmed that the acclaimed X-Men ‘97 will return for its next season in Summer 2026.

The panel also debuted a first look at Season 2 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, which is shaping up to be a massive event. The footage included a cameo from Charlie Cox’s Daredevil in animated form and a very clear hint at the symbiote’s arrival, showing a sentient black goo that points directly to Venom joining the fray. The season launches on Disney+ in Fall 2026.

From the streets of Hell’s Kitchen to the depths of synthetic consciousness, Marvel’s NYCC 2025 panel laid out a compelling and diverse roadmap for the next two years of storytelling. Which of these series has you most excited? Let us know in the comments
