Shhhh.
The silence is about to be broken again. John Krasinski is returning to write, direct, and produce “A Quiet Place Part III,” with Paramount setting a July 9, 2027 release date for the highly anticipated sequel.
Family Reunion Unlikely
While plot details remain locked down tighter than a soundproof bunker, don’t expect a happy family gathering. Given what happened to Krasinski’s character in the original film, the cast lineup remains a mystery—though Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, and Millicent Simmonds’ involvement is still unconfirmed.
What we can safely predict: alien creatures with razor-sharp hearing, humans tiptoeing through terror, and plenty of nail-biting moments where every creak matters.
Franchise Powerhouse
Krasinski helmed the first two installments of what’s become a $900 million global phenomenon. Michael Sarnoski took directing duties for 2024’s prequel “A Quiet Place: Day One,” but Krasinski’s return marks his full creative control over the main storyline.
The announcement comes via Krasinski’s Instagram as Paramount Global finalizes its sale to Skydance—a deal expected to close next week. Sunday Night Productions, Krasinski and Allyson Seeger’s company with a first-look deal at Paramount, will produce alongside Platinum Dunes.
The Quiet Revolution
From “The Office” alum to blockbuster filmmaker, Krasinski’s transformation has been remarkable. While his recent family comedy “IF” disappointed at the box office, the “Quiet Place” franchise remains his crown jewel—proving that sometimes the most powerful stories are told in whispers.
A Quiet Place Part III creeps into theaters July 9, 2027.
