Dust off your bell-bottoms and tighten your trucks—skate. Season 3 is officially here! Titled “Fluid Flashback,” this massive update from developer Full Circle is ditching the modern neon for a 70s-inspired aesthetic, paying homage to the era when polyurethane wheels changed the sport forever.

Whether you’re a technical wizard or a downhill speed demon, Season 3 is packed with enough new content to keep you shredding until June. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming season.

Return to the Isle of Grom

One of the biggest highlights of skate. Season 3 is the return of a fan-favorite locale. The Isle of Grom is back, but it’s not the tutorial area you remember from the early playtests.

The Full Circle team has completely overhauled the island with new lines, massive gaps, and spillways inspired by the legendary spots in Skate 2 and Skate 3.

  • Early Access: skate.Premium Pass members get exclusive access from March 10 to April 14.
  • Grand Opening: A multi-week event starts April 14, opening the island to everyone.
  • Post-Event Access: After May 5, players can access the island via the Premium Pass or by purchasing a “Water Taxi Day Pass” for 500 Rip Chips.

New Skateable Areas in San Van

Beyond the island, the mainland is getting some love too. Keep an eye out for the Tri Towers Parking Garage, which now features a skateable shortcut perfect for hitting a fresh session in the heart of the city.

Dark Tricks and Improved Physics

Fans have been vocal, and Full Circle listened: Dark Tricks are officially back. Starting Day One of Season 3, you can perform Dark Catches, Dark Flips, and Darkslides.

Pro Tip: For extra “steeze,” try a Late Dark Trick. Just be careful—if you don’t stick the landing, your skater is going to go sprawling.

The update also includes a total overhaul of Bonelesses, making them more responsive and reliable. While this fix removed some “pop glitches” used by high-level players, the trade-off is a much more consistent feel during transitions.

Speedlines: A New Way to Compete

If you have a need for speed, the new Speedlines mode is for you. Available in both San Van and Isle of Grom, these challenges are split into two styles:

  1. Technical Speedlines: Combine complex trick requirements with a strict time limit.
  2. Time Trial Speedlines: Pure races where you must find the fastest route while collecting tokens.

Get Inked: Deep Customization & Loadouts

Your skater’s look is getting a major upgrade. Season 3 introduces Tattoos, with 52 unique designs ranging from American Traditional to Stick and Poke. Thanks to new R&D from the dev team, these tattoos are designed to look authentic across all skin tones and body shapes.

  • Massive Wardrobe: Over 170 new clothing options and 140 skateboard customization pieces (decks, wheels, and stickers).
  • Brand Partners: Season 3 introduces huf, Jenkem, and Vans into the mix.

The skate.Pass and Premium+

The skate. Season 3 skate.Pass features 108 tiers of rewards.

  • Standard Track: 31 tiers of free rewards.

  • Premium Pass+ (2000 SVB): Grants the Premium Pass plus an immediate 4,000 Tix to jumpstart your unlocks.

Replay Editor & Quality of Life

For the content creators, the Replay Editor is getting a suite of new tools to make your “footy” look like a professional skate film:

  • New Effects: Add Barrel Distortion (for that classic Fisheye look), Vignettes, and Exposure adjustments.
  • Keyframed Audio: You can now slow down or speed up audio and playback speed using specific keyframes.
  • Party Collision: You can now toggle “Party Collision” on or off, allowing you and your friends to physically bump into each other (and cause total chaos) during sessions.
