“We ready?” Tom Holland asked fans this question. He emerged from the shadows in his brand-new Spider-Man costume for the upcoming “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.”

The Big Reveal

After teasing fans on Spider-Man Day (August 1st), Holland dropped the full costume reveal Saturday morning. The new suit marks a dramatic departure from his previous MCU appearances. It features brighter reds and blues plus a significantly larger spider insignia. This closely mirrors the classic comic book design.

This is the most comic-accurate Spider-Man costume Holland has worn. He wore it during his tenure in “Homecoming,” “Far From Home,” and “No Way Home.”

A Fresh Start

“Brand New Day” arrives July 31, 2026. It is Holland’s fourth MCU Spider-Man film. It is his first solo outing since the multiverse-shattering events of “No Way Home.” That film left Peter Parker in a devastating position. Doctor Strange’s memory-erasing spell means everyone has forgotten Peter Parker exists. This includes MJ (Zendaya), Ned (Jacob Batalon), and the entire world.

The movie’s title draws directly from the Spider-Man comics. In a similar reset storyline, Spidey makes a deal with the devil Mephisto. This deal erases his identity from public memory while resurrecting Aunt May.

What’s Coming

“Shang-Chi” director Destin Daniel Cretton takes the helm, with newcomers Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas joining the MCU. The film will feature Jon Bernthal’s Punisher. It will also include Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk. This “brand new day” might be more action-packed than Peter anticipated.

His slate has been wiped clean. He dons a costume that honors Spider-Man’s comic book roots. Holland’s fourth web-slinging adventure promises to be his most grounded yet. It is potentially his most dangerous one, too.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters July 31, 2026.
