After becoming Netflix’s second-most popular series of all time, Wednesday is back for its highly anticipated second season. The gothic comedy-mystery series, created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and executive produced by Tim Burton, returns viewers to the supernatural halls of Nevermore Academy, where secrets lurk around every corner.
As Wednesday Addams begins her second year at the school where her parents fell in love, she faces new mysteries, family complications, and a cast of intriguing characters both familiar and fresh. Here’s your complete guide to everyone you’ll encounter in Season 2.
The Addams Family Returns
Jenna Ortega continues to captivate as Wednesday Addams, now returning for her sophomore year after heroically saving Nevermore in Season 1. Having spent her summer break honing her psychic abilities, Wednesday receives a disturbing vision about her roommate’s death, launching her into yet another supernatural mystery that will test her investigative skills.

The Addams family presence grows significantly this season. Isaac Ordonez steps up from guest appearances to become a series regular as Pugsley Addams, Wednesday’s younger brother who’s starting his first year at Nevermore. Despite Wednesday’s outward disdain for her sibling, her fierce protectiveness remains—after all, defending Pugsley from bullies is what landed her at Nevermore originally.

Adding to the family dynamics, Catherine Zeta-Jones returns as Morticia Addams, but this time she’s moving onto campus, much to Wednesday’s mortification. Luis Guzmán‘s devoted Gomez Addams couldn’t be happier to spend more time at the place where he and Morticia’s legendary romance began.

New to the family tree is Joanna Lumley as Grandmama Hester Frump, Morticia’s cold and ruthless mother who runs Frump Mortuaries. As one of the rare family members who truly understands Wednesday’s dark sensibilities, Hester promises to be a fascinating addition to the Addams legacy.

Nevermore’s Supernatural Students
Emma Myers returns as Enid, Wednesday’s perpetually optimistic roommate and reluctant best friend. Having finally embraced her werewolf transformation at the end of Season 1, Enid’s newfound confidence within the werewolf community reshapes both her social status and her relationship dynamics.

Joy Sunday‘s Bianca continues her evolution from Wednesday’s rival to trusted ally. The siren queen bee who once competed fiercely with Wednesday will face new tests as their unlikely friendship deepens in Season 2.

The sweet and brave Moosa Mostafa returns as Eugene, the bee-controlling student who proved his courage in Season 1’s climactic battle. This season, he becomes roommates with Pugsley, setting up what promises to be an entertaining dynamic.

Georgie Farmer‘s Ajax, the snake-haired gorgon with a crush on Enid, finds his romance entering precarious territory as both he and Enid navigate their supernatural abilities. Complicating matters is Noah B. Taylor as Bruno, a charming new werewolf whose arrival threatens to disrupt Ajax and Enid’s relationship.

New Faces and Familiar Threats
Steve Buscemi joins as Principal Dort, Nevermore’s flamboyant new headmaster who brings an “Outcast Pride” philosophy to the school with little regard for normies. His singular brand of zest makes him a perfect fit for the Addams universe.

Other notable newcomers include Evie Templeton as Agnes, the overeager fan club leader whose idol worship of Wednesday causes our protagonist immense irritation, and Billie Piper as Miss Capri, the new music teacher who attempts to nurture Wednesday’s musical talents while offering werewolf guidance to Enid.

Christopher Lloyd brings gravitas as Professor Orloff, Nevermore’s oldest and strictest teacher. Lloyd’s casting marks a homecoming of sorts, as he previously portrayed Uncle Fester in the 1991 and 1993 Addams Family films.

Returning Mysteries and New Threats
Hunter Doohan‘s Tyler returns despite his dire circumstances at Season 1’s end. Last seen being transported to Willow Hill Psychiatric Facility after his revelation as the monstrous hyde, Tyler’s unique knowledge of Jericho’s secrets may prove valuable—if Wednesday can trust him again.

The law enforcement landscape shifts with Jamie McShane‘s Sheriff Galpin losing his position following his son’s monstrous reveal, making way for Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo as Sheriff Santiago, the new sheriff willing to collaborate with Wednesday on Jericho’s supernatural cases.

Adding to the intrigue, Haley Joel Osment guest stars as the Kansas City Scalper, a serial killer who has fascinated Wednesday since childhood and makes a memorable appearance in the season’s opening episode.

The Magic Continues
Supporting characters Victor Dorobantu (Thing), Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester), and Joonas Suotamo (taking over the role of Lurch from George Burcea) round out the ensemble, ensuring that the unique Addams Family charm remains intact.

Lady Gaga’s Mystery Role
While many new faces have joined Nevermore Academy, one particularly famous addition remains shrouded in mystery. Pop icon Lady Gaga is set to portray Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary teacher at Nevermore Academy who will cross paths with Wednesday. However, Gaga’s character is notably absent from the first four episodes currently streaming, leaving fans to speculate about her role when the season’s remaining episodes drop on September 3, 2025.

As Wednesday navigates family tensions, romantic complications, and supernatural mysteries, Season 2 promises to deliver the perfect blend of gothic horror, dark comedy, and teenage drama that made the first season a global phenomenon. With new faces joining beloved characters, Nevermore Academy has never been more intriguing—or dangerous.
